Information Technology Higher Diploma at London Skills Academy

Course description

The Principal Learning of the Higher Diploma in Information Technology will cover the following topics: The Potention of Technology; Exploring Organisations; Effective Communication; Skills for Innovation; Technology Systems; Multimedia; Managing Projects. You will also be required to undertake a project. The course aims to: - reflect the blend of business, technical and interpersonal skills needed in modern IT and telecoms professional roles - develop valued transferable skills in English and communication, maths, project management and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. - be practical as well as theoretical allowing you to apply your knowledge and skills in relevant meaningful situations that are employer-led.

Entry requirements

Pre-16s: You must have reached a level 5 in English, maths and science at the end of Year 9. Post 16s: Applicants will be required to attend a College interview, may need to sit an assessment and provide a reference.

Future opportunities

A Higher Diploma in Information Technology could lead you to either A Levels; an Advanced Diploma or vocationally related Level 3 courses.
