Customer Service Apprenticeship Level 2 and Level 3 at Lowestoft College

Course description

An Apprenticeship is a work-based learning programme for people aged 16 and over. It provides an excellent opportunity to combine training in the workplace and in the College. While on the programme, you will be working towards an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification), Technical Certificate and Functional Skills.

Course content

LEVEL 2
During the Apprenticeship in Customer Service at Level 2 you will work towards the following qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service
The Certificate contains two mandatory and five optional units.

Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service
There are two mandatory units within this qualification.  

Functional Skills
Functional skills will be studied in maths, English and ICT at Level 1.

LEVEL 3
During the Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service you will cover the following areas:

NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Customer Service
The Certificate contains two mandatory units and five optional units.

Level 3 Certificate in Customer Service
There are two mandatory units within this qualification.

Functional Skills
Functional Skills will be studied in maths, English and ICT at Level 2.

What future does this course offer?
On successful completion of the Level 2 programme, you will have achieved an Apprenticeship in Customer Service. On successful completion of the Level 3 programme you will have achieved an Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service.

Additional Information:
You will be in placement with a company for a normal working week and attend college for workshops at appropriate times throughout your training. Your dedicated assessor will visit you at work on a regular basis to observe you in the workplace and to train and support you through the Apprenticeship. Training will last for up to 18 months (Level 2) or two years (Level 3), but you may achieve the qualification before the end of your training programme. It is possible to join the programme at different times throughout the year.

Entry requirements

Apprentices will be required to have a good general standard of education with a minimum of three GCSEs at grade D or above (to include maths and English) for study at Level 2 and three GCSEs at grade C or above (to include maths and English) for study at Level 3.
