Maths at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form Free School

Course description

Studying maths at A Level involves developing a whole new set of mathematical skills and methods that you will learn to apply in order to solve complex problems both in pure mathematics and in applied mathematical contexts. We will cover topics such as; algebra, trigonometry, calculus and coordinate geometry, logarithms, statistics, decision mathematics and mechanics including Newton’s laws.

Entry requirements

Our entry requirements are in-line with other local providers. To study with us you will need to have an average of at least 6 grade Bs at GCSE, (including grade B’s in any subjects that you wish to study at A level that you have already studied at GCSE.) We are aware that there may be special circumstances that mean that you won’t achieve this level of results. We do sometimes reduce this minimum standard under such conditions - please do get in touch.
