Child Care and Education - CACHE L3 Diploma at The Ravensbourne School

Course description

We offer a course which combines study and work experience in equal measures. Topics include Quality care practice, Understanding behaviour, Communication skills, and practical caring. Each unit contains a practical aspect assessed by the tutor. You will be assessed by an externally set short answer question paper. A series of internally assessed and moderated assignments, three research portfolios and an externally set research study.

Entry requirements

To be at least 16 years old at the time of registration. A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C(including English and Maths) or an equivalent level OCR National certificate. GCSE Science is required if you wish to become a teacher.

Future opportunities

Later you might want to study..... Forensic Science, Food Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Forestry, Pharmacy or non-science degree courses at Higher Education. Later you might progress to a related course at higher Education or to study nursing, teacjing, social or community work. You could work as a nursery nurse or supervisor, pre-school leader or special educational needs supporter.
