Music Technology at The Sixth Form College Colchester

Course description

This is a specialised music course involving sequencing, recording, composing and the theory of Music Technology. An interest in work involving the use of technology and a willingness to listen to a wide range of music are important. The course follows on from work in GCSE Music, but can be taken by those students who have an interest in music technology. A short assessment test will be given to students at induction. 

Entry requirements

Students could be taking AS level Music although this is not a requirement. Previous study of GCSE Music is not essential but fluent music reading skills are required and a Grade 5 Music theory qualification is preferred. If taken GCSE Music grade C is required.

This course cannot be combined with BTEC Music Technology (production) course.
