Motor Vehicle Body and Paint (Body Repair) Advanced Apprenticeship at Darlington College

Course description

If you are interested in working with cars and vehicles, then this Apprenticeship could be ideal for you.

Vehicle body repair technicians specialise in repairing or replacing damaged panels from vehicles that may have been involved in an accident - you make work on one specialist area of the vehicle or complete the whole repair.

Duties may include:

•Assessing the level of damage and making decisions to repair or replace panels

•Repairing chassis and panels

•Removing damaged panels

•Keeping logs of work carried out and informing the customer of any additional work that may be needed.

Entry requirements

For the Level 3 Apprenticeship you will need to have 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including maths and English, and a Level 2 in the relevant subject.

We will request a school or college report and you will  need to attend an interview at the college.

Future opportunities

You will have the required qualifications to be employed as a Light Vehicle Technician.
