Photography at Carlton le Willows Academy
Students following the Photography option will be expected to explore a range of photographic techniques. You will have the opportunity to experiment with different media in order to explore your strengths and preference.
Each unit at AS and A2 is assessed using four assessment objectives
Assessment Objective 1
Develop their ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.
Assessment Objective 2
Experiment with and select appropriate resources, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining their ideas as their work develops.
Assessment Objective 3
Record in visual and/or other forms, ideas, observations and insights relevant to their intentions, demonstrating an ability to reflect on their work and progress
Assessment Objective 4
Present a personal, informed and meaningful response demonstrating critical understanding, realising intentions and, where appropriate, making connections between visual, written, oral or other elements.
Underpinning their work should be the use of sketchbooks/workbooks/journals. There is no specific requirement for students to demonstrate drawing skills in this option unless they wish to.
