Chemistry Level 3 at North Hykeham Joint Sixth form

Course description

Chemistry is life, from what we wear, eat and use to DNA. If you ever wondered why a milk bottle expands in the freezer or is there a solution to the greenhouse effect then this course explains why. This is the course that allows you to answer the questions that you have been wanting to ask over the last few years. It allows you to understand the Chemical Theory behind a range of contexts such as the Atmosphere, Medicine Design, Chemicals from the Sea, Fuels, Plastics and why certain compounds are coloured.

Each topic follows a theme and the theory and the practical’s are mixed to allow you to see and explain the chemistry behind your experiments. If you have an interest in Chemistry and would like to develop your understanding then this is the course designed for you.
