Mathematics - GCSE at Stockley Academy
You will use text books in line with your expected level of entry. There are now only two tiers of entry: foundation tier and higher tier. Both tiers of entry will allow candidates to gain a C grade at GCSE. The course will include studying a variety of topics from the following areas: - Numbers and algebra. - Shape, space and measures. - Handling data.
You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Mathematics or Statistics or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to mathematics such as an Accountant, Finance Clerk, Teacher, Payroll Officer, Tax Consultant or Financial Advisor. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
