Intermediate Apprenticeship in Restoring Furniture at Norfolk Training Services

Course description

The qualification focuses on integral components of a job-role within furniture restoring such as health and safety, stripping down and storing items of furniture, assessing and repairing items of furniture and apply stains, sealers and primers.

Aimed at

  • learners either looking to embark on a career within Furniture Restoration or for those individuals who are already employed within the industry but who are looking to gain a recognised, relevant qualification to support their job-role.

Course content

Once on programme with NTS, an assessor will be assigned to each learner. The assessor will carry out an induction to the course and pre arrange visits for every 4 to 6 weeks, on these visits the assessor will assess learners carrying out practical tasks that they would complete in their day to day job role, the assessor will also assess knowledge reports that learners have completed and set targets for the next meeting.
