Spanish A/S at Bingley Grammar School
In studying Spanish the emphasis is on communication skills, achieved through a variety of topics and exploring contemporary issues e.g. leisure, health, education, relationships, tourism. The course focuses on speaking and listening/reading/writing combined: there is no coursework. The skills you might develop through taking the course: Communication, IT, confidence-building, cooperation/group work, risk-taking, organisational skills, analysis, grammar skills and creativity.

Entry requirements will be outlined in the Sixth Form Prospectus which will be launched at the Sixth Form Guidance Evening in January (see Bingley Grammar School website after Christmas for details).
Once published, the prospectus will also be available to view in the Sixth Form Section of the school website.
Students have one speaking exam and one listening/reading/writing exam.
Future opportunities include teaching, interpreting, translation, working abroad, travel and tourism, business and foreign journalism.
