Music Technology at Arnold Hill Academy
Music technology plays a key role in music across the world. This course involves practical work and encourages the cultivation of a wide range of skills. Students, including those who do not play a traditional instrument, are encouraged to explore their musicality and create original materials using technology.
Students will have the opportunity to sequence MIDI and audio, record live instruments, produce CDs and compose using music technology. They will also build an understanding of the technical processes and principles that underpin effective use of music technology.
5 GCSE passes Grade C or better including English Language and Mathematics.
It is helpful if students have studied GCSE Music at Key Stage 4 and achieved a grade C or better.
