Renewable Operations - Onshore Wind Apprenticeship at SSE Services PLC

Course description

SSE has over 860 wind bases and towers all of which contribute to the electricity generation within the UK. Onshore Wind Apprentices spend the first year at college completing the PEO2 and Wind Turbine Technician course. Following this, the remainder of the programme will be site based, working towards collecting work-based evidence to support your theoretical work in order to complete the programme. 

Entry requirements

No specific work experience is required for our apprentice programme.

However you’ll need 4 GCSE’s grade A-C / Nationals at grade 4-5 (previously Standard grade 3 or above) in Maths, English and a Science or craft subject.

Depending on the course you choose, you may be required to take an Ishihara Colour Vision test.
