AS Unit 1: Practical Skills Development

Unit 2: Planning a Creative Event

Unit 3: Performing to a Commission

A2 Unit 4: Work experience in the Industry*

Unit 5: Practical Skills Production

Unit 6: Performing to a Commission

Qualification: Applied A Level in Drama or Musical Theatre requires a Grade B or above in Drama G.C.S.E or Dance GCSE. The Performing Arts course follows a vocational pathway in which students get a practical experience in all aspects of the Industry. This course contains 6 units of study. Students can either study straight drama or drama, dance and singing.*UNIT 4 has a compulsory Work Experience in the performing arts industry.Students must have genuine interests in drama or musical theatre and must be able to work independently.

Entry requirements

If you achieve at least 5 C grades or above or the equivalent youcould consider Advanced Level courses.However, for the majority of Level 3 subjects B grades at GCSEare required. Specific grade requrements for subjects are available from staff and will be discussed at interview .
