Occupational Studies Level 1 at Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMET)

Course description

The course is designed to develop skills and confidence and encourages you to take responsibility for yourself and interact appropriately with others. The course covers variery of units which include: art, ICT, customer service, teamwork, career progression, work experience, sport and leisure and media. Continual development of your core literacy and numeracy skills are embedded to all areas of the course.

Entry requirements

Entry 3 or Level 1 qualifications in maths and English or, after initial assessment be working at Entry 3 or Level 1. Satisfactory interview and references.

Assessment

Continual assessment by course tutor and a portfolio of coursework to be submitted at the end of the year.

Future opportunities

Progression either onto Level 2 qualification or onto a foundation course with more vocational options.
