Bookkeeping & Computerised Accounts AAT Level 1 Award at Waltham Forest College

Course description

The introductory level will suit you if:

  • You'd like a solid introduction to bookkeeping - or just a refresher
  • You need bookkeeping skills for your business
  • You're interested in running bookkeeping services for local businesses
  • You are not currently in employment or training and you need workplace skills
  • You would like to acquire new skills to help with a change in your career

Entry requirements

Once you have applied we will invite you into the college to participate in:

  • a 1:1 interview with a member of the AAT team

Assessment

You will be assessed through 2 AAT certified computer-based assessments.

Future opportunities

This course will give you specialised transferable and recognisable career-boosting skills and an industry recognised qualification. When you successfully complete your course you may progress to Level 2 Bookkeeping and Computerised accounts, seek employment or become self-employed.

      Trains run to Walthamstow Central from Liverpool Street station (a bus can then be taken to the College, see below). Wood Street station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the College.

      Tube:

      The Victoria Line ends at Walthamstow Central, which is approximately a 15-minute walk to the College. Alternatively, you can get a bus, see below.

      Bus:

      From Walthamstow Central:Bus 275 stops outside the College, 212 stops across the road from the College (Shernhall Street). Buses 97, 357, 34 or 215 stop at the 'Bell Corner' (junction of Hoe Street and Forest Road). From here, the College is approximately five-minute walk.

      From Blackhorse Road Tube Station: Bus 123 also stops outside the College on route between Tottenham and Ilford
