Progression Carpentry at East Kent College
This study programme has been developed to provide you with the opportunity to build personal and vocational skills essential for a successful working life. You will have the opportunity to study a range of vocational areas.
This programme has been designed in such a way that if you are not sure which vocational area you would like to study in, you will have the chance to move and sample a different area at various points in the year.The vocational areas are:CateringConstructionChildcareHairdressingBeautySportCarpentryMotor VehicleBricklayingPainting and DecoratingICT and ComputingHealth & Social CareYou will work towards external accreditation in Employability skills and a vocational qualification. Continuous assessment and review towards building a portfolio of evidence.This study programme will include English and Maths and enterprise activities, challenges and recognised guest speakers that will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
There are no particular entry requirements for this programme.
You will be continuously assessed, building a portfolio of evidence.
If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the course your course will be free. There may be payments needed for trips, visits and other materials.
