Biology (OCR A) at Stanford & Corringham Sixth Form Centre
This is an exciting A level course that can lead to a wide range of careers. Biology is the study of life itself, from its early conception and evolution billions of years ago to the complex interactions that take place between all living things today.
Biology can be studied from the molecular level up to population dynamics and incorporates everything in between. Biology is constantly growing as a topic and can be considered as the science that will have most impact in the future with emerging technologies such as genetic engineering and stem cell research leading the way.
PLEASE NOTE: This course could run over the 3 schools. Details of where this course will run in September will be available at a later date.
The course uses a practical, applied approach to look at the following areas of study.
The course follows a linear format with examinations at the end of A2.

Core and Additional Science GCSE grade B, or grade B in Biology GCSE and grade C in GCSE Mathematics and English Language.
£30.00 deposit to cover all text books to be paid on enrolment day. This will be refunded at the end of your course once your books have been returned to the subject teacher.
£5.00 non-refundable payment for an Access Key Fob to access Gable Hall School, Sixth Form and St Clere's School.
