This course is aimed at students who love fashion. The course will give you the skills
required by fashion designers, including: design for womenswear and menswear,
styling, fashion illustration techniques, trend prediction, CAD (Computer Aided Design),
historical and contemporary research, pattern cutting and clothing manufacture skills.
You will design and produce garments for the end of year fashion show and there
will be a number of trips and visits to museums, galleries and exhibitions in the North
West, London, Paris and New York. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside
current designers and industry professionals.

What does it include?
This course includes a study programme to provide learners with a coherent and
enriching curriculum, which will provide them with the academic, social and employability
skills to progress to apprenticeships, higher education or employment.
The content of the study programme is designed to broaden the learner experience
beyond the main qualification of study.
The key theme of study programmes at Level 3 will be the development of personal,
social and enterprise skills to enable progression to apprenticeships, higher levels of
study or employment.
All learners will engage and work with industry as part of their course. You will undertake
