Health and Social Care - Level 3 Apprenticeship at CTS Training

Course description

As an apprentice you will learn on the job, where you will prove that you are competent to do the job, build your knowledge and understanding of the occupational area and where necessary complete your keyskills. Whilst you are undertaking your advanced apprenticeship you will be paid for the work that you do and be seen at your workplace on a 1-2-1 basis by your assessor, who will give you as much support as you need to assist you in completing your framework. Your framework will consist of Units chosen from a Level 2 Diploma In Health and Social Care and Keyskills in Application of Number and Communication

Entry requirements

A good level of GCSE results, Apprentices not gaining grade C or above in Maths and English will be required to take Key Skills Application of Number and Communication

Financial information

As an apprentice you will get a wage of £3.40 per hour. 

Future opportunities

www.apprenticeships.org.ukThe course offers you a specialist work-based qualification to support a career in the care sectors or to progress onto studying an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or a related subject such as Playwork. With further training, you could continue to develop your career in the care sectors by working as a Social Worker, Health Visitor or Care Worker, which could be with children, the elderly or people with special needs. The course is often work based which means that you can earn and learn at the same time whilst developing the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers in all areas of care looking for.
