Course description

Learn and develop skills with an exciting partnership between the Manchester United Foundation and Salford City College.

The course will allow you to develop coaching skills and offers real life work-based opportunities.

Course content

BTEC National Diploma In Sport Level 2 & 3

1st 4 Sport FA Certificate in Coaching Football - Level 1 & 2

NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership

Sports Leaders Award in Community Sports Volunteering

FA First Aid Certificate

FA Safeguarding Children

FA Coaches Licence

Entry requirements

Intermediate Level - 4 Ds/3s at GCSE

Assessment

You will be assessed continually throughout the course. There are no written exams

Financial information

Full time courses are free to 16-18 year olds who are EU citizens

Future opportunities

You can gain employment in a coaching role or go on to study sport at a higher level. The course can lead to possible careers in coaching, personal training, leisure centre management, sports tutoring, armed forces and sport event management
