A successful completion of Economics and Business AS
The study of economics is characterised by its ability to 'practise skills, qualities and attitudes which will equip them for the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of adult and working life. Many students develop a passion for economics at this level and will take the subject further at degree level. From here there are a range of opportunities in the field of Business including banking, insurance and finance. In most cases this will be in the form of working for a high street name. Some students will wish to take their interest further in the form of a Master Degree in Economics. Working as an Economist for a large multinational company is the most likely career route where everyday tasks would involve collecting, analysing and reporting on economic trends and statistics.
