Health and Social - Cambridge Technical at Eaton Bank Academy

Course description

The Cambridge Technical qualifications offer opportunities to develop skills demanded by employers in the UK today. Learners will have the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge and tools for the world of work by developing transferable skills such as planning, research and analysis, working with others and effective communication.

OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical Certificate in Health and Social Care (minimum credit of 30 units)
Completion of 3 units:

Unit 1 (Mandatory) Developing effective communication health and social care (10 units)
Unit 2 Equality, diversity and rights in health & social care (10 units)
Unit 3 Health, safety and security in health & social care (10 units)

OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma in Health and Social Care (minimum credit of 60 units)
Completion of 3 units:

Unit 7 Psychological perspectives for health and social care (5 units)
Unit 15 Promoting health education (10 units)
Unit 17 Research methodology for health and social care (15 units)

Entry requirements

Students are expected to have achieved 4 x A*-C grades at GCSE, to have a positive Attitude to Learning and to have evidence of ICT skills.
