Course description

Course Content:
This course is made up of four qualifications:
*Diploma in Professional Cookery
*Diploma in Professional Food and Beverage Services
*Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principals – Professional Cookery
*Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principals – Professional Food and Beverage Services
You will also have an opportunity to acquire your Health and Hygiene Certification, fire training and first aid training. There are a number of trips that take place to a variety of locations and venues.

Assessment:
For the practical elements, units of work are recorded in a logbook and each Unit assessed individually by observation, question and answer and discussion. The Technical Certificates will be assessed by online tests.

Future prospects:
Professions include: Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Head Waiter or Sommelier.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs Grade A*-G, including English and Mathematics.
