Biology A Level at St Martin in the Fields High School for Girls

Course description

The study of AS and A2 level Biology will enable you to acquire a systematic body of biological knowledge and develop an appreciation of its significance. It will sustain and develop your enjoyment of, and interest in, biology. The course develops many of the topics you have already studied and will help you gain an insight of the dynamic and exciting nature of biology today.

You will realise how an understanding of many of today’s contemporary issues requires the knowledge and understanding of underpinning biological principles. Biology is a practical science so you will develop experimental skills and further understanding of the scientific method.

Entry requirements

5 A*-C grades at GCSE including English. Minimum BB for Double Science and C for Maths.
