Customer Service - Advanced Apprenticeship at Eden Training Solutions
This qualification has been designed for young people who wish to work in an customer service role, such as; Customer Service Desk Supervisor, Travel Consultant etc.
This programme aims to increase and develop your skills using a wide range of units allowing you to tailor the programme to meet your needs and your job role.
Within your role you may be giving information and advice to customers/colleagues to maintain service standards, deal with customer queries and give advice to help resolve problems and complaints
The programme is made up of three components:
The QCF (Qualification and Credit Framework) is made up of both mandatory and
optional units which allow you to tailor the programme to meet your needs. These
are assessed through a number of different assessment methods, for example;
Direct Observation, Witness Testimonies, Discussions, Reflective Accounts etc.
Once complete you will achieve a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service
Knowledge is made up of both mandatory and optional units, this can
be assessed through on-screen tests, assignments, discussions and statements.
Once complete you will achieve a BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Customer service.
The FS (Functional Skills) is made up of Maths and English at Level 2.
Once complete you achieve Functional Skills Math Level 2 and Functional Skills
English Level 2.
Note: If you have achieved an A to C grade in Maths and English you will
be exempt from the relevant Functional Skill (this only applies if you are in the 5 year bracket from leaving education)
Or, if you have achieved an A* GSCE in Maths and English then this will
exempt you from the relevant Functional Skill (A* has no expiry date)
To undertake this programme you must meet the following requirements:
- Already secured a job placement (we are able to assist if necessary)
- Resident in the UK/EU for 3+ year
- Willing to achieve and succeed
Once you have been signed up to the programme you will be assigned a Learning Consultant. Your Learning Consultant will guide you through the programme giving you assignments and assesing you in your day to day job role. They will also be there to help and support you throughout the programme. Listed below are some of things which you can expect on each visit with your Learning Consultant:
- Regular progressive visit and reviews with your Learning Consultant
- Learning Consultant to listen to what you and your employer is saying
- You and your employers to be included in decision making
- Utilise the information from within your business
- Continuous access to qualification progress and Learning Consultant via e-portfolio system
- Targets to be set and worked towards by yourself
- Equality and Diversity included at each visit
- Health and Safety included at each visit
- Be professional/look professional
There are a number of different assessment methods which will be used to record your learning and compentence throughout the programme, these are:
- Direct Observations (DO)
- Witness Testimonies (WT)
- Exams and Tests (ET)
- Product Evdience (PE)
- Reflective Accounts (RA)
You will earn a minimum of £2.68 per hour (National Apprentice Minimum Wage).
This programme is a great opportunity to earn whilst your learn, you will be working towards gaining a Nationally Recognised Qualification whilst earning a wage.
This programme will aims to develop you in your job role, young people undertaking this programme will be able to competently demonstrate their customer service skills within their role.
Further programme oportunites may be avaliable for you to progress onto. An example of this could be a Management Advanced Apprenticeship or Team Leading Intermediate Apprenticeship.
