Course description

This qualification is suitable if you want to progress your career, already hold a L2 qualification and want to enhance your skills to become a specialist chef.

The purpose of this qualification is to enable you to demonstrate through classroom and kitchen based assessments, how well you carry out daily work activities and your knowledge of Catering related topics.

Course content

The course covers a variety of units which include: Health & hygiene procedures including Food Safety Developing working relationships Managing resources Preparing, cooking and finishing a wide range of complex dishes Development of recipes & menus.

Entry requirements

You will need good Literacy, Numeracy and ICT skills to undertake this course.

Assessment

This course is portfolio based which includes knowledge and competency based evidence.
