IT Application Specialists Apprenticeship Level 2 at Midlands Training & Development Ltd.

Course description

This Apprenticeship covers a wide range of general computing and IT skills that can be applied in many job roles and industries.  It’s almost impossible to picture a world without computers – businesses would grind to a halt, information would be incredibly slow to find, and there would be loads of paper to file away. Luckily, computers are here to stay, and each day their capabilities become more complex and powerful. That’s why IT is one of the most important industries out there.

Using IT while working, especially within an office, is what you can expect when you apply for any job and this Apprenticeship will help to develop those skills.  Job roles will vary depending on the type of job you apply for, but you can expect to be able to use standard office IT packages to a high professional level.  Programmes include Word, Excel or specialist bespoke software relating to your work.

While the main role of the Apprentice on this framework is the application of IT this may occur in the context of a range of situations and industry sectors such as:

  • Office/Business Administration
  • Accounts departments
  • Publishing or multimedia
  • Sales and Marketing departments
  • Education and training
