Classical Civilisation at The Sixth Form College Colchester

Course description

The course is a broad-based study of many different aspects of Greek and Roman society. Students study the literature, art, archaeology and history of ancient Greece and Rome. All sources are studied in translation. 

Entry requirements

No previous knowledge of the classical world is needed but a minimum grade C (or 4) in GCSE English Language is required, as well as a grade B (or 5) or above in two predominantly written based GCSE subjects (from English, English Language, English Literature, History, Religious Studies or Sociology).

We do, in a small number of exceptional cases, consider late applicants , especially if there are extenuating circumstances.
