STEP: Motor Vehicle Studies at Ashby School

Course description

This course forms part of the OCR wider key skills qualification, which is equivalent to two GCSEs. This course is designed to help students prepare for the considerable amount of time they will spend on the road during their lives. One of the best ways to learn about road safety is by riding a motorbike. At Ashby School, students have access to a range of on and off-road motorbikes, as well as large areas suitable for practising on and off-road skills. Students also study motorbike maintenance, motoring laws, the Highway Code, accident prevention and many other useful aspects of motoring. The course is designed for all prospective motorists.

Entry requirements

This course is aimed at students with learning difficulties.

This practical course will prepare students for related courses at further education colleges.
