Sport - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Treviglas Community College
If you enjoy sport, are thinking about a career in sport but are not sure which avenue to pursue, this course could help you decide. The variety in units provides opportunity to study different aspects of sport and its associated industries.
The course involves a mixture of theory based study and practical activity including studying the anatomy and physiology of the body to planning and carrying out fitness testing and training programmes.

Plus a choice of 10 optional units including Sports Massage, Exercise Health and Lifestyle, Instructing Physical Activity and Exercise and Sports Nutrition.
Minimum 5 GCSE grade C or above.
All coursework based NO EXAMS! As well as assignment based assessment you will also be assessed in practical observations and through presentations.
Many students progress to higher education courses studying Sports Coaching, Leisure Management and Sports Science. Some students have moved into employment working in Leisure centres and sports facilities.
