Course description

As the engineering sector progresses faster than university degrees can be modified, an Apprenticeship in Engineering is the best and most popular route to achieving skilled status as an Engineer.

This pre-apprenticeship will cover the following skills:

  • Bench fitting
  • Maintaining mechanical devices
  • Wiring and testing electrical circuits

Course content

EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering.

Entry requirements

GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English.

Trade assesssment.

Financial information

You will receive a training allowance whilst doing your pre-apprenticeship. All training costs are covered by government funding for 16-18 year olds.

Future opportunities

You could progress onto an advanced apprenticeship in engineering in just 8 months.
