Media Studies at Ormiston Victory Academy
The course covers a diverse range of media, including ﬁlm, TV, advertising and music video. Students will complete production coursework and also analytical, theory-based examinations. During the course, students will develop their own knowledge about modern media and learn technical, ﬁlm-making skills and also study and research skills.
Students are assessed by practical coursework, including both a ﬁlm production and in-depth independent research (50%) and also an examination (50%). This is the case at both AS and A2, however at A2, the research element is much more substantial.
Seven grade Cs or above at GCSE level including English and Mathematics. Bs are required for the Sciences, English, Humanities and Languages
