Sport Btec level 3 subsidiary diploma at Swinton Academy

Course description

Students will study 3 mandatory units, these are: Unit 1: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport Unit 2: The Physiology of Fitness Unit 3: Assessing Risk in Sport Students then choose one of the following units: Unit 7: Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise OR Unit 29: Principles and Practices in Outdoor Adventure To gain the full qualification a further 3 units are then selected in the following areas: Fitness Training and programming Practical (Individual or Team) Sports Coaching Outdoor Adventurous activities (Duke Of Edinburgh)

Entry requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C


Assessed through coursework, there are no exams
