Bright Futures (Work Based Learning) Entry Level 3/Level 1 at EKC Group
Perfect if you want to gain work related experience in a real work environment.
You’ll learn the skills needed to move into paid or voluntary employment. In association with East Kent Hospital Trust and Kent Supported Employment (KSE) you will work alongside mentors in their day-to-day roles within the local hospital, studying employability skills, communication skills and team building. You will undertake up to three different internships within the hospital with a goal to move into paid employment. These may include: Office Work, Domestic Care, Portering, Catering Assistant, Health Care Assistant, Reception or Postal Services.You can look forward to growing in confidence, building your self-esteem and developing your existing skills and learning new ones — whilst gaining valuable work experience.
You will need to go through an interview process which takes place within the College and at the hospital, and you must meet eligibility criteria for Kent Social Services funding and be in receipt of ESA benefits.
You will build portfolios of evidence which will include personal reflective work diaries.
Additional expenses to consider include: Certification fee Smart clothes are requiredSpecialist equipment will be providedUniform/ T-Shirts will need to be purchasedIf you are 16-24yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
