History A Level at South Devon College

Course description

A Level History is for students who have an interest in the past. Topics studied in AS History include, 'Britain from 1483-1520' and 'Anti-Semitism; Hitler and the German people; 1919-1945'. Assessment will be by exam and essay. In A2 History, students will complete a historical enquiry titled '20th Century Britain' and an examined module, 'The Triumph of Elizabeth'. A variety of methods including lectures, group work, presentations and individual research will be utilised to aid your learning, with discussion, debate and the use of ICT forming an integral part of this course.
