You’ll develop a basic knowledge of law and crime including the importance of law in everyday life, civil liability and the elements of negligence, criminal law (with a focus on the crime of murder) and the criminal/youth justice system and support networ

Entry requirements

A minimum of 2 Grade Ds at GCSE. You will need a good level of literacy and numeracy as well as the ability to organise written information clearly. You will be asked to complete an initial assessment.

Assessment

You will be assessed by a combination of assignments and portfolio based work and one examination.

Future opportunities

You can progress to the Legal Studies and Legal Secretaries Level 2 and 3 qualifications, or seek employment in an entry level role in the legal professions.
