Course description

There are an increasing range of materials being sent for recycling and it is essential that those who are involved in the sorting and processing of these materials understand the importance of there role and are recognised for it.

The Sustainable Waste Management Operative Level 2 Waste Site Operative qualification is a highly flexible course designed to minimise the disruption to day to day activities, whilst maximising the benefits to the individual and the organisation.

The course can be offered at a time and place to suit the needs of both the employee and their employer, with the course being tailored to fit the needs of both the learner and the business through the selection of appropriate optional units.

The apprenticeship consists of three core elements; Functional Skills in Maths and English, a Technical Certificate and the City & Guilds Diploma in Sustainable Waste Management Operative (Waste Site Operative).

Assessment

To achieve the Sustainable Waste Management Operative Level 2, learners must achieve a minimum of 37 credits, with 31 credits coming from the mandatory units and the remaining 6 credits being achieved by completing units from each optional group.
