Religious Studies A at Willenhall E-ACT Academy

Course description

The GCSE course in religious studies is divided into two halves. The first year of the course is based on looking at life and religion in the UK. It looks at moral and social issues such as racism, the right to live and die and whether or not God exists. The second half focuses on issues surrounding the environment, our rights and responsibilities and how societies and religions should deal with war. Ideas about all of these issues are looked at through both the Christian and Sikh faiths. The course encourages you to think, debate, discuss and explain your point of view. Assessment is by examination (100%) and no coursework.
