A Level Health & Social Care at Thomas Hepburn Community School

Course description

The advanced level course
in Health and Social care
is a qualification which
is designed to provide
knowledge and understanding
of theis vocational area,
building on existing
knowledge.
There is a combination
of written examinations
and internally assessed
coursework assignments.
The AS course consists of
mandatory units whereas the
A2 can be tailored to students
specific career interests.
Every effort will be made
to provide student work
placements in a field where
they have a particular
interest. For example, links
have been established with
the Queen Elizabeth Hospital
for medical placements
and also with local primary
schools for those interested
in Early Years teaching.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above including EnglishPass BTEC Level 2 Health and Social care
