You’ll learn practical skills in facial skincare, waxing, manicure, the application of tanning, applying make-up, removing hair using alternatives to wax such as threading or sugaring, eyelash perming and the creative skill of nail art.You can look forward to working in the College Salon on external clients.This Study Programme will include English and Maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including Maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 2 vocationally related programmes.
You will learn through practical demonstrations and assessment will be through written work and online tests.
Text books are available on loan or can be purchased at a cost of approx. £56.Additional costs to consider include: Professional Beauty Trip £15 (TBC)Uniform £65 (TBC)Kits £170 (TBC)Commodities £30Students will be required to purchase their own products suiting their own skin type to be used on themselves in practical sessions. If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials.
