Music at South Holderness Technology College

Course description

If you have a keen interest in creating and listening to different styles of music and who wishes to broaden their experience and deepen their understanding of both live and recorded music and enjoy listening to and performing a wide range of music from Renaissance to 20th Century and from Film Music to Jazz, then this is the course for you.

You will study all aspects of music including composition and performance, with several opportunities to display your skills in informal recitals during the course. We have a suite of computers equipped with composing software. As well as performing during the course, you will also have the opportunity to join one or more of our excellent ensembles within the department.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs A-C grade including Maths and English

A grade B in GCSE subjects is required for most A Level programmes. Please speak to the sixth form subject teacher for specific details on course entry.
