Electrical Installations - Pre-Apprenticeship Course at The Growth Company (formerly The Skills Company)

Course description

Your Level 2 Electrotechnical qualification is made up of a series of mandatory units (these are the areas of specific study within your learning programme). 

During your programme you will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence in order to demonstrate the practical tasks that you have completed during your courses and also capture the theory work you have completed.

 The units you will study and their subject content are:

  • Health and safety in building services engineering
  • Principles of electrical science
  • Electrical installations technology.
  • Installation of wiring systems and enclosures
  • Communication with others within building services.
  • Electrical installations technology.
  • Installation of wiring systems and enclosures
  • Communication with others within building services

Course content

City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs A-C, including Maths and English

BPEC assessment

Financial information

You will receive a training allowance whilst on your pre-apprenticeship. All training costs are covered by government funding for 16-18 year olds.

Future opportunities

You could progress onto an advanced level 3 apprenticeship in electrical installation.
