Course content

The course is ideal for those who aspire to advance their career in the construction industry. You can also do this course as an apprenticeship.The modules covered may include:• Building surveying• Computer Aided Design (CAD)• Quantity surveying• Construction and the environment• Science and materials• Structural mechanics• Building technnologyYou will also learn employability skills.

Entry requirements

5 Cs at GCSE.


The course is mainly classroom-based with some practical work in surveying buildings and land. Coursework will be assessed throughout the course

Financial information

All full-time courses are free to 16-18 year olds who are an EU citizen.

Future opportunities

You could progress on to university or gain employment within the industry in careers such as architecture and design, construction management, surveying, engineering, health and safety or planning.
