Feood Technology at English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College

Course description

Throughout the course strong emphasis will
be placed on practical making sessions to
allow students to develop a high level of
making skills, understanding of food
ingredients and methods of production. The
practical problem solving activities encourage
independent learning, creativity and
innovation.

AS
Unit 1: Written Paper on materials and
components of food.
Unit 2: Coursework
A2
Unit 3: Written Paper
Unit 4: Coursework - A single project which
combines designing and making skills.

Entry requirements

It is an advantage to have studied GCSE Food Technology, Home Economics or similar, although it is not necessary to qualify for this course.
