Warehousing and Storage Intermediate Apprenticeship at Wirral Metropolitan College

Course description

Working as part of a team, you may be required to load/unload vehicles.

You will also have delegated responsibility for the correct selection and packing of customer orders, ensuring they are ready for despatch on time.

Course content

The Apprentice framework includes the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage
  • Level 1 English Functional skills
  • Level 1 Maths Functional skills

The Certificate in Warehousing and Storage at Level 2 are combined qualifications incorporating competence and knowledge, which are separately assessed.

Entry requirements

You will need to have a keen interest in working in a warehousing business in the logistics sector. You must be willing to work shifts, as part of a team and be a good timekeeper.

Reasonable GCSE results are acceptable.

If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course.

Further information

Apprenticeships are designed for individuals who are in paid employment within the sector and would like to achieve qualifications which recognise the skills they gain in the workplace.

You will need to be employed for 30 hours or more.
