Intermediate Apprenticeship - Level 2
Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care
Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights
Level 1 Functional Skills - Maths and English
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
Length of the course - 18 Months Approximately
During the Apprenticeship you will cover areas such as:
Personal development
Equality and inclusion
Safeguarding and protection
Person centred approaches
Health and safety
Handling information


Entry requirements

In order to start an Adult Health and Social Care Apprenticeship at Level 2, you will not require any further qualifications. However individual employers may look for specific qualifications, these are stated on each Apprenticeship Vacancy.

Financial information

Your apprenticeship entitles you to up to £15,000, or 100%, of your training costs covered by government funding.
The training included in your apprenticeship programme is either fully or partially funded, as follows: 16 – 18 years old training is 100% funded, 19 – 24 is partially funded. 

Future opportunities

Once you have completed your Apprenticeship there are lots of progression opportunities. You may decide to stay within your setting and seek promotion to a senior or team leader position or seek employment in other settings to gain a wider breadth of experience, for example as a health care assistant in a hospital.You may decide that you want to go into further education for example nurse training.
