Invidviduals, firms, markets and market failure
eg. Perfect Competition, Price Determination, The Distribution of Income and Wealth

The national and International economy
eg. How the Macro Economy Works, Financial Markets and Monetary Policy, Supply-Side Policies.

Entry requirements

6+ GCSEs A*–C including at least a B in mathematics


Paper 1 – Markets and Market Failure – two hours
Paper 2 – National and International Econmy – two hours
Paper 3 – Economic Issues and Pricipals – two hours

Future opportunities

Students can progress on to university (often to Russell Group institutions) to study mathematics, finance, accountancy, economics and politics.
