Course description
This is mainly a taught course aimed at laying the foundations for future developments focusing on developing drawing, painting and observational/visual recording skills. Students are introduced to a number of different ways of working including still life, working from external sources and being informed by the work of historic and contemporary artists and crafts people.

Future opportunities
For those of you planning a career in Art and Design, you will gain the necessary breadth of work for entry on to a degree or Foundation degree in Art and Design. Many students do a one year full-time Art and Design Foundation course before progressing to degree level. A few students go directly into work related areas. Fine Art is often combined with NCFE Life Drawing.
