Physics at Carshalton High School for Girls
Physics comes from many angles. When you think physics you often think of the inspirations from the past, Albert Einstein or Issac Newton. In today’s world physics is used in so much more: medicine, healthcare, building, engineering, veterinary, dentistry or for the real high flyers NASA or pilots. It is fascinating and you get to learn about the really massive (galaxies) and the exceptionally small (quarks) and everything in between.
Physics is about the world around us. It is the study of forces and why they cause everything to happen; we study a range of topics from giant stars to the smallest particle. The cross curricular skills you can learn at Physics A Level is extremely valued by universities for all courses and by employers alike.
